Discover the Authentic Beauty of Camping Iznate, (Malaga, Spain)

If you’re on the hunt for a genuine camping experience in the heart of the Spanish countryside, allow me to introduce you to a true gem: Camping Iznate. Nestled amidst the picturesque hills near the charming village of Iznate, this campsite will not only captivate your senses but also leave you with lasting memories.

Location and Beyond

Camping Iznate is ideally located, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. The nearby villages of Iznate and Benamocarra add an authentic touch to your adventure. We discovered the delights of Benamocarra, a quaint and charming town that’s well worth a visit.

But that’s not all; the charming town of Velez-Malaga is just a short drive away. During our visit, we enjoyed an authentic and budget-friendly lunch at a local café. The town’s atmosphere is refreshingly unspoiled by tourist crowds, allowing you to savor the true essence of Spanish life.

And let’s talk about the broader region accessible from Camping Iznate. By car, you’re within striking distance of many other towns and cities that offer a rich tapestry of Spanish culture. During our trip, we explored the historic wonders of Nerja, the architectural marvels of Granada, and the vibrant energy of Malaga, Fuengirola, and Torremolinos. Not to mention, under two hours away is the enchanting town of Ronda, a destination we’re saving for our next adventure.

Scenic Beauty and Immaculate Facilities

The moment we arrived, we were struck by the stunning natural beauty surrounding Camping Iznate. The campsite boasts panoramic views of the Sierra de Tejeda Mountains, providing an enchanting backdrop to your camping experience. Just remind the kids not to get too close to the edge when taking in the views.

And let’s not forget the exceptional facilities. The washrooms and common areas are spotlessly clean, maintained to a standard that surpassed any campsite we’ve visited before. We often rely on the facilities in our caravan, but we made full use of the campsite’s facilities here – including the lovely warm showers. We were able to catch up on our laundry with their affordable machines. The campsite even boasts a refreshing swimming pool – perfect for unwinding on a sunny afternoon.

Family-Friendly and Warm Hospitality

Camping Iznate is family-friendly, offering spacious pitches where our kids could play beside our caravan, and of course they loved the pool (if you have non-swimmers make sure you remember your armbands as it’s not shallow). The staff’s warm and welcoming attitude made us feel right at home, we were always greeted with a smile and a wave; they even offered us use of their printer when we urgently needed to print a document.

A Helping Hand in Times of Need

If you’ve ever visited Spain you’ll know that it is very mountainous, and as soon as you leave the main road you face some steep roads and even some unpaved. This was our first venture into Europe since we bought the caravan and we have learned that our car just isn’t suitable (we will be upgrading as soon as we return to the UK). Upon arrival at Camping Iznate we soon realised that we were likely to have difficulty towing our caravan back up the hill on leaving day. After talking to a couple of the longer stay residents, we were reassured that we could ask Maria for a little help. This is where Maria truly shone as she went above and beyond to help us, using her vehicle to assist us in towing our caravan up to the main road. Her hospitality and willingness to help made our experience even more special.

Delicious Fresh Bread at Your Fingertips

One more delightful surprise during our stay was the availability of freshly baked bread at the campsite’s reception shop. There’s nothing quite like waking up to the aroma of warm, crusty bread to start your day.

In summary, Camping Iznate is a hidden gem for those who crave a genuine Spanish camping adventure. The campsite, with its breathtaking natural surroundings, top-notch facilities, and warm hospitality, provides an ideal base for exploring southern Spain. Whether you explore Velez-Malaga, Benamocarra, or any of the neighboring towns and cities, it’s a destination that’s bound to leave you with cherished memories. We will definitely be returning when we next visit the region.
